A Wonderful Birthday
Hi All,
Thanks for all the nice comments about my hair! It was a good way to start the weekend! Saturday we spent most of the day getting ready for Vanessa's baby shower (aside from a few hours for a funeral). John made most of the food for the shower because he's a genius in the kitchen. He was up until the wee hours of Sunday morning getting everything ready! Sunday was the actual shower. I was going to write a post on it, but Vanessa already did! Monday was my birthday! We had planned to go to the zoo, but since the penguins are new to our zoo, there was a 2 hour wait to see them! No thanks. So we decided to wait until the excitement wears down a bit. Instead we slept in, ate waffles, went to the dog park, I went and got a pedicure (guess what colour polish), and then we went out for dinner. It was lovely! Am I the only one who forgets how old I am now? John thought I was 29, but I thought maybe 28. We had to do the math to make sure. It's so funny that way.

A 2 hour wait?!!! That's crazy! I think you have the right idea to wait until it calms down!

I totally have moments where I need to stop and think how old I am! Good to know I am not the only one. Ha Ha

I do forget how old I am sometimes! Because Tony is 7 months younger than me we are the same age for half the year and sometimes I forget if I'm his age or one year older depending on the time of year. Or sometimes I think he is older than he is too. Funny.
Happy Belated Mommy. I always forget our B-Day's fall so close. I too have to back calculate how old I am these days.

I totally have to stop and count when I think about my age - that's too funny! Maybe that's when you're finally "old" haha
We are planning on taking Liam to the zoo soon too and I cant wait to see how he reacts!
